Microsoft gradually rolled out SharePoint spaces (Preview) to Targeted Release customers last month and expects to complete the roll-out to all customers by the end of this month.
SharePoint spaces is a web-based, immersive platform which allows your users to create and share mixed reality experiences.
Building a space is a lot like building a modern site. Here is how the process of creating Mixed Reality Portals using Spaces work:
1. Ensure Spaces (Preview) is enabled on the Manage site features page to be able to create immersive 3-D experience
2. Once enabled, you’ll see a new option in the site’s New menu to create a SharePoint Space.
3. Choose a structure/template
4. Then you can edit the space change background/theme and add Apps/Add-ins for 3D objects, 360° images, audio, videos, 3D text etc.

5. The resulting immersive 3D experience can be viewed in a web browser or with a mixed reality headset or best using Microsoft HoloLens.
